Best snorkeling spot in Hawai'i! | Maui vlog #7
I've snorkeled at a handful of places on Maui including Molokini Crater and nothing beats the Coral Gardens! I can see why they went with that name. The coral here goes on and on as far as you can see! The only downside is that you have to take a boat to get out here unless you really wanna swim far to get here! I've taken a couple snorkeling tours with Four Winds and both times have been amazing! Very reasonable pricing and they provide snorkels, masks, food and even alcohol (after snorkeling of course).

Thanks! The only downside of the day was that we arrived at Miyajima a little too late in the day so we finished our late lunch, a lot of shops were starting to shut down.

Do you remember how long it took on the Jr ferry? I’ve heard it’s 3 hrs as opposed to a 45 min. Is this your experience?
The ferry was definitely not 3 hours. I don't remember exactly but 45 minutes sounds about right. It wasn't a very long ride at all. Just don't make the mistake that we did. Head out to Miyajima Island early. I didn't realize there was so much to do there. We spent too much time at the Hiroshima Museum that by the time we got there and ate lunch, almost everything was closing up.
Love your video! We are going to Maui at the end of August! How long did it take you to walk the Pipiwai Trail?
Thank you! It took us about 3 hours round trip, but mostly because my wife was VERY pregnant so we had to stop a lot. Normally, 90 minutes should be enough. Like I mentioned in the video, I highly suggest staying in Hana for a night since doing Road to Hana leaves you very little time for the Pipiwai Trail if trying to do it in one day.

It's from a restaurant called the Hali'imaile General Store (I know, it doesn't sound like a restaurant name 😅). Probably one of the best meals we've had on that trip.

It's not cheap but totally worth it! There's views you wouldn't be able to see if you weren't in a helicopter. Our tour was $750 for 2 people for an hour.

When planning a trip to Jigokudani Monkey Park, make sure to check out their website to see if the monkeys are in the onsens as there's two live stream cameras. Oh nice! I highly recommend watching through the whole video (if you haven't done so already) for recommendations along Road to Hana. The Pipiwai Trail is a MUST but it'll be difficult to do the Road to Hana AND do the entire trail in the same day, so like I did in the video, I suggest staying in somewhere in Hana for the night, so you don't have to rush to the Pipiwai Trail. The views on that trail are AMAZING!

Wow you have the best edited video on Road to Hana. Stunnnig shots of surroundings to get a feel for the place. Im surprised there are not more views! We are taking 2 days and had originally thought about doing counterclockwise but you convinced me to go usual route. In midst of Covid, I doubt many food places will be open. I would also suggest NOT getting a Mustang if you're doing the whole loop since I scraped up the bottom a few times on the south route since some of it is off-road.
